Select: Each hide is chosen by hand for an even grain and a deep, natural colour. Anything with scars or uneven dye is set aside.
Cut: Panels are cut one at a time so the grain runs the same way across the bag. It is slower, and you can see it.
Stitch: Seams are sewn by hand with waxed thread and a saddle stitch: if one stitch fails, the next one holds.
Finish: Edges are painted, sanded and burnished, hardware is set by hand. One maker, one bag, start to finish.
